Mysore/Mysuru: Swaranjali Delhi, in association with Dhruv Bose Foundation, has organised ‘Shraddhanjali,’ a four-day virtual cultural programme in memory of late Dhruv Bose, from June 19 to 23 at 7 pm daily.
The event, which is dedicated to all gurus, performers, artistes, art critics and art lovers whom we lost during this Corona pandemic time, will be premièred on YouTube and Facebook page of Swaranjali. Artistes around the world will contribute their performance for this event along with a few video messages from our maestros, gurus and others.
As part of the series, Pt. Rajeev Taranath, Sarod maestro from Mysuru, will perform on June 19.
“This COVID-19 virus has had irreplaceable damage across the world in every respect of life. In the music industry, we have had a huge impact. We lost stalwarts like Pt. Jasraj, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, Pt. Rajan Mishra, Saroj Khan, Sajid Ali, Pt. Debu Choudhry and many more. Their contribution in the music, dance and fine arts field will be remembered throughout. The human resource we lost can never be compensated in a lifetime period. Their talent will take another 50-60 years to reborn that too if at all the same talent takes a birth. Our heartfelt tribute to the great souls of India who left us for their heavenly abode leaving us the inspirational path of life towards music as music is the elixir of life. While we are fighting with Corona, music is playing a great role in keeping our mental health stress free, stable, calm and motivated,” said Pt. Sitarist Subrata De, Founder of Swaranjali.
