The Mysore District Chess Association (MDCA), jointly with Mysore Professional Chess Academy (MPCA), Dept. of Physical Education, University of Mysore and Lions Club of Mysore Central, will be conducting a one month free chess coaching camp at Lions Hall, Mysuru, (behind Oval Grounds) from Apr. 5 to May 4. The camp will be held everyday from 10 am to 12 noon.
The camp will be free for the beginners (seven years and above – boys & girls) and middle-level. A minimum fee will be charged for advanced level players.
Coaching will be in-charge of Shivarame Gowda and Ravindra Joshi and will be supervised by IM M.S. Thejkumar (the highest ranked chess player in Karnataka at present) from time to time.
