Free health camp marks Vajpayee’s birth anniversary

Mysuru: Marking the birth anniversary of former PM late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Asare Foundation, GSS Foundation and others had organised a free Health Camp at Basavaiah Community Hall in Jayanagar here on Tuesday.

Avadhoota Datta Peetham Seer Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji and Kolada Mutt Seer Sri Shantaveerendra Swamiji inaugurated the camp.

Doctors of K.R. Hospital, Cheluvamba Hospital, DRM Hospital, Narayana Hrudayalaya, Kidwai Institute and others examined patients. Over 350 children were administered ‘Swarna Prashana.’

Speaking on the occasion. MLA S.A. Ramdas said that such health camps would be periodically held in KR constituency and added that Shankar Cancer Hospital, Bengaluru, has come forward to provide a well-equipped vehicle with cancer screening facility. He asked everyone to take a vow to make Mysuru ‘Cancer-free.’

Financial aid from CM’s Relief Fund was presented to one Shyla Umesh who has undergone a surgery recently. Shankar Cancer Hospital’s Kumar, GSS Foundation’s Srihari, City BJP President Dr. B.H. Manjunath,  Corporator B.V. Manjunath, Safe Wheels’ B.S. Prashanth and Vaishnavi Sweets’ Naveen were present.
