Free screening of ‘Viratapura Viragi’ film

Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Viratapura Viragi’, a Kannada film based on the life of Hanagal Sri Kumara Shivayogi Swamiji, will be screened for free at the JSS College of Pharmacy auditorium in Bannimantap at 4 pm tomorrow (Jan. 17).

The film is produced by Sri Gurudeva Seva Samsthe. Noted writer B.S. Lingadevaru has scripted and directed the film. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Nimbal’s Jadeya Shantalinga Swamiji and other seers will be among the audience.

The film has seen more than 160 premier houseful shows before release (pre-release). The film has bagged a prize in Asia Section at Bengaluru International Film festival. The film also won the coveted Hunsur Krishnamurthy award for its dialogue, with Raghavendra Chitravani being the dialogue writer. 

According to senior actor Dattareya, the film is not the kind for one to forget it. This is a film which should be viewed again and again, as it gives the society a wonderful message on life.
