Free training for Indian Army, other uniform services’ aspirants

Backward Classes Welfare Department has invited applications for free guidance and training from eligible candidates belonging to different categories, aspiring to join Indian Army and other uniform services from the State, for the year 2024-25. Male candidates belonging to Backward Classes Category-1, 2(A), 3(A) and 3(B), with family income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum for Category 1 and Rs. 1 lakh annual income for candidates belonging to remaining categories, are eligible to apply.

They should have passed SSLC with at least 33 marks in each subject and aggregate of 45 percent. If the marks are allotted in grading system, they should be equivalent to the grade mentioned above. The training will be provided in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts and the candidates should select either one of the three districts and submit the filled in applications to the Office of Backward Classes Welfare either in person or by registered post.  The last date to submit duly filled in application is July 10.
