Frequent power cut hits Chamundi Township dwellers

Sir,

I am a resident of Chamundi Township in Sujathapuram, Nanjangud, since 2018.

In the last one-and-a-half years, we have been facing frequent electricity related issues. Worst was when the transformer linked power surge damaged my home appliances thrice and I had to shell out nearly Rs. 20,000 to get them repaired.

Another connected issue is, every time there is a fluctuation in power supply, entire street-lights on the main road (where my house is located) go off. Despite repeated requests, the lights are not replaced for weeks.

In the latest case, street-lights went off due to power surge on Jan.23 and till now the lights have not been replaced, in spite of making repeated requests to local site manager. Reason: No lights in spare!

I request the MUDA authorities concerned to take up the matter (both related to frequent issues with transformer and street-light replacement) with the layout management and ensure such delays do not recur in future.
