Sir,
It is annoying to note innumerable times that Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC), Mysuru Division, is resorting to frequent power shutdown with just one day prior press notice in newspapers and through SMS to consumer’s mobile phone for emergency maintenance works. This is causing inconvenience for domestic and small and medium industries in and around Mysuru throwing out of gear the pre-planned business activities in the day.
Nowadays most of the power distribution centres are equipped with state-of-the-art technology with automated tools to reduce drudgery to the electrical power staff and to avert the possible and sudden power swings and trippings of High Tension power lines in its vast Power Distribution Networks either for domestic or industrial supplies.
In Bengaluru City, as I learn, there is no power shutdown frequently as in Mysuru. It is not known whether Mysuru CESC is plagued by the reduction of staff strength or there is frequent shortage of HT Feeder Lines to Mysuru from the main power generating areas much away from Mysuru city or with the aim to conserve that much power through power-cuts.
Common electrical power consumers are held to ransom by CESC with such frequent power shutdown during the day-time without revealing the real problems of CESC.
