Mysuru: The Department of Mechanical Engineering, the National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, had recently organised an exhibition titled ‘Fun with Fluids’, for the students to comprehend the basic concepts and principles of Fluid Mechanics.
During the exhibition, 4th Semester students of Mechanical Engineering demonstrated various models to explain the concepts and principles of fluid mechanics such as Bernoulli’s principle, Archimedes principle, fluid viscosity etc.
Students were presented with real life applications based problems, for which they came with a hands-on activity to learn the solution.
About 60 conceptual models were exhibited during the event. The students were guided by Assistant Professors of the Department, P. Srinag, Dr. K.R. Mrinal and Ajay Anand.
Dr. G.Ravi, Principal, NIE, Dr.T.N Sridhar, Controller of Examinations, Dr. M.V.Achutha, Professor and Head, Dr. G.Sarangapani, Professor, Civil Engineering and Dr. Yusuf Javeed, Professor, Civil Engineering were present on the occasion.
