Mysuru: In memory of late actor Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar, the Dasara Cultural, Women and Children Sub-Committee, in association with Karnataka Ratna Appu Abhimaanigala Balaga, has organised ‘Gandhada Gudi’ painting contest for school children at P. Kalingarao Gaana Mantapa in Dasara Exhibition grounds premises here at 10.30 am on Oct.27.
Speaking after releasing the poster and publicity materials of the competition here recently, Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) Chairman Ayub Khan said the painting contest has been organised in order to create awareness on environment, wildlife and forests among school children.
Dasara Cultural Sub-Committee President Raghuraje Urs said that the competition is open for all school children and entry is free. The contest will be held under three categories: 8 to 12 years, 12 to 18 years and 18 years and above. There will be three prizes in each of the categories.
