Mysuru : Marking the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, an exclusive stall ‘Gandhi-150’ brought out by the Department of Information and Public Relations was inaugurated at Dasara Exhibition by District in-Charge Minister G.T. Devegowda this morning.
Welcoming the visitors to the stall at the entrance is a huge life size sculpture of Gandhiji made from Plaster of Paris (PoP) in a sitting posture on a tall pedestal. Inside the stall are the embossed pictures of Gandhiji in Freedom Struggle till his end.
Also included are pictures showing the Mahatma right from his school days and his association with other like-minded people. Gandhiji’s first visit to Karnataka in 1924 to participate in the Congress Convention in Belagavi has been excellently brought out through pictures.
Minister S.R. Mahesh, Department of Information and Public Relations Director N.R. Vishu Kumar and others were present.
