Mysore/Mysuru: Shashireka (86), a Gandhian who had served for over two decades at Gandhi Ashram in Wardha, Maharashtra, passed away at Gandhi Ashram in Tagadur yesterday.
She had also served at Arasikere Gandhi Ashram before moving to Tagadur Gandhi Ashram.
Wife of Gandhian Tagadur Sathyanarayana, she leaves behind three daughters, one son and a host of relatives and friends.
The mortal remains were kept at Tagadur Gandhi Ashram till 10 am today for the public to pay their last respects and the body was donated to JSS Hospital later.
