Mysore/Mysuru: A garden, on the lines of Brindavan Gardens in Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS), will be developed in Kabini Reservoir in H.D. Kote taluk of Mysuru district, at a cost of Rs. 48 crore, said Co-operation and District in-Charge Minister S.T. Somashekar.
Speaking after inaugurating a welcome arch near Kanchamalli village on Mysuru-H.D. Kote border this morning, the Minister said that the project would be announced in the State Budget for the year 2021-22. Many people were familiar with H.D. Kote name but not many know about the importance of tourism. The newly-installed arch would help in introducing the rich natural heritage of the taluk.
The Minister said that a lot of development works were going on in the taluk and recently, permission had been granted to build a bridge and a road. More works would be taken up in the coming days to ensure the overall development of the district. “I am committed to tourism development of district also,” he added.
