Mysore/Mysuru: Geeth Gaatha Chal, the popular Annual Musical Event by Doctors, is in its 20th year and this year the event will be held on June 5 at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Convocation Hall on Hunsur Road in city.
The event, which has been successful all these years due to the continued patronage of well-known industrialist Dr. M. Jagannath Shenoy and the organisational skill of Dr. C. Umesh Kamath, has been warmly accepted by the music loving people of Mysuru.
Since the past three years, Dr. P.A. Kushalappa has been the Organising Chairperson having been handed over the baton from Dr. Umesh Kamath.
This year’s edition will have popular old Hindi and Kannada songs and features many dance performances. All in all, a cultural feast awaits the people of this city, say the Organisers.
Dr. Col. M. Dayananda, Director, JSS Hospital, Mysuru, will be the chief guest. Sam Cherian, Managing Director, Schevaran Laboratories, will be the guest of honour. Dr. M.A. Shekar, Vice-Chancellor of Adichunchanagiri University, will be felicitated.
Entry for the event is free and all are requested to assemble at the Hall by 4.45 pm. The event will commence by 5 pm.
The Organisers have requested the audience to follow the COVID appropriate behaviour.
