Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri has warned of action against Nodal Officers and Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust (SAST) representatives appointed to ensure beds for Corona positive patients in Private Hospitals if they failed to discharge their duty.
Chairing a meeting of Nodal Officers here yesterday, she said it was the responsibility of Nodal Officers and SAST representatives to get bed for a particular patient in a particular hospital. Poor patients were unable to clear the medical bills of Private Hospitals and such patients must be ensured bed in those hospitals in the Government quota. Discharge of patients admitted to Private Hospital under the Government quota must be immediately shared with the War Room. Non-availability of this information was causing many problems, she added.
The DC said cases will be booked under KPMA and Disaster Management Act against those Private Hospitals that fleece money from patients for giving treatment under the Government quota.
A team consisting of a Nodal Officer, SAST representative and a Police Officer appointed for each hospital must work efficiently. Details pertaining to availability of beds in Government quota at Private Hospitals and hospital quota must be furnished, she noted.
