The residents of Ghousianagar, who are complaining of bad odour in drinking water and lack of basic amenities, have urged the authorities concerned to take the matter seriously and provide them with good and clean drinking water and also basic facilities.

A press release from the residents stated that more than 50 houses in Ghousianagar 10th Cross, near CESC Transformer, had complained of foul smell emanating from drinking water, besides facing UGD problem.

They said that even the drains in the area were blocked, garbage getting piled up as there was no regular clearing of the same. Almost all roads in the area needs to be asphalted, defunct street-lights need to be rectified and menace of dogs curbed.

The residents have urged the Mayor, MCC Commissioner and concerned officials to visit the place and solve these problems at the earliest.
