Mysuru: A student of a private school in city allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at her residence in Gandhinagar here last evening.
The deceased is Nikitha, daughter of Tharis William of Gandhinagar on Mahadevapura Road in city. She was a tenth standard student at a private school in Nazarbad here.
Nikitha committed suicide when her family members had gone out. Though she was rushed to a private hospital, the doctors declared her dead.
N.R. Police, who visited the house, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem besides registering a case.
The body was handed over to her family members after post-mortem today.
