Global Pitch-Fest sows seeds of entrepreneurship in students

Mysuru:  In a bid to boost entrepreneurial mindset amongst the college-going community, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Mysuru chapter, hosted the Global Pitch-Fest for students and young entrepreneurs from Mar. 29 to 31 at Silicon Road Ideation Labs, Mysuru.

With special focus on students and entrepreneurs hailing from academia, the Pitch-Fest witnessed an enormous influx of students buzzing with revolutionary ideas and innovative solutions to real world problems, trying at winning investment for their designs.

The Pitch-Fest was a platform for students to pitch and raise their profile in front of an informed audience of investors, entrepreneurs and mentors along with a chance to win up to Rs.1,00,000 at the regional level.

Cultured teams from colleges across the State participated in the fest and pitched their ideas to the panel of judges. The ideas revolved around developing ideologies to re-tailor existing solutions and systems to optimise the processes.

The panel of judges comprised mentors like Dr. Mahesh Rao, Ashwin Kumar Hemdev,  Mahesh Chinnaswamy, Shankar Prasad, Aditya Desiraju and Shrilaksmi Desiraju, Raj Kutnikar, Sreenivasan Nagarajan and  Sanjay Srinivasmurthy.

Dr. Sudhendra Rao,  Sudhanva Dhananjaya and  Ajith Pai were the decorated jury members for the final event.

Over the course of three days, the Pitch-Fest witnessed some ingenious ideas, high ardour and a tremendous thirst for learning.

Sharat Patil and Nitin S. Bhat of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, emerged as winners in the Fest.

The event was presided by TiE Mysuru President Sanjay Srinivasmurthy and moderated by Gagan Chengappa, Executive Director, TiE, Mysuru.
