Mandya: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha seat BJP candidate Yaduveer Wadiyar and former JD(S) Mandya MP C.S. Puttaraju narrowly escaped a potential mishap as they found themselves stuck in a lift at a private hotel in Mandya on Thursday.
Yaduveer, Pramod Sawant, along with some JD(S) and BJP leaders, had convened a press conference at the hotel before filing the nomination papers of former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. As they were descending in the lift after the event, it became stuck midway, apparently due to overloading, causing moments of anxiety.
Fortunately, technicians promptly responded to the issue, managing to open the lift and rescue them within 15 minutes, much to the relief of the leaders.
