Gold chains snatched in city

Mysuru/Mysore: In separate incidents, bike borne miscreants have snatched gold chains from women at Ramakrishnanagar and Rajendranagar in city.

In the first incident, bike borne miscreants have snatched a gold mangalya chain from a woman at Ramakrishnanagar on Dec. 28.

The victim is Vani Venkatesh of Ramakrishnanagar. She was walking on the roadside at ‘I’ Block at about 8 pm, when two miscreants on a bike yanked off the gold mangalya chain weighing 35 grams and sped away.

Kuvempunagar Police have registered a case.

In the second incident, a staff nurse lost her gold chain weighing 30 grams and worth Rs. 75,000 to bike borne miscreants, who snatched it from her while she was walking towards her home at Rajendranagar on Jan. 2.

The victim is Manjula Bai, wife of KSRP Head Constable Mahesh Kumar. Majula Bai, after alighting from a city bus at Rajendranagar was walking towards her home, when two youths on a bike, snatched her gold mangalya chain near the 6th Cross and sped away.

N.R. Police, have registered a case.
