Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Safiya, student of Farooqia College of Pharmacy, who received three gold medals from President of India Ram Nath Kovind during the 23rd Convocation of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), was felicitated during the Fresher’s Day of newly admitted students of DPharm, BPharm, PharmD & PharmD (PB) for the academic year 2020-21 at the College premises here recently.
Dr. Safiya has secured three Gold medals and 24 Ranks in her PharmD Course.
Other Rank and Merit students were also honoured with mementoes and certificates. On the occasion, the Pharmaceutical Society for 2020-21 was inaugurated by presenting sash, name plate and certificate to the office-bearers.
Padma Shree Prof. Akhtarul Wasey, President, Maulana Azad University, Jodhpur and Dr. M.D Karvekar, Professor Emeritus of RGUHS, were the chief guests. Dr. M. Sayeed Ahmed, Trustee, RMET, was the guest of honour. Taj Mohammed Khan, Hon. Secretary of Farooqia Educational Institutions, Dr. Md Salahuddin, Principal of Farooqia College of Pharmacy and others were present.
The programme started with the recitation of Quran Verses by Akram Hussain of 1st BPharm student. 5th PharmD student Fanus Fathima, Vice-President Pharmaceutical Society, proposed a vote of thanks.
