Golden Chariot to chug into city tomorrow

Mysuru: ‘Golden Chariot,’ the only luxury train in South India, which offers an insight into treasure trove of archaeological wealth and a kaleidoscope of culture for its esteemed guests, will chug into city from Bengaluru on Sept. 24 as part of Dasara celebrations.

The two-night package will cost Rs. 25,000 per person and 40 persons have already registered their names.  The Golden Chariot train will depart Yeswanthpur Railway Station in Bengaluru on Sept. 23 at 8.30 pm and arrives at City Railway Station on Sept. 24 early morning. After leisurely on board breakfast, the passengers will proceed for an excursion to Srirangapatna. Later they will visit Chamundi Hill and Nandi statue before having lunch at Lalita Mahal Palace Hotel.

Post lunch, the passengers will be taken to Jayalakshmi Vilas Palace (Folklore Museum), Amba Vilas Palace, enjoy Heritage Walk around Mysore Palace and will view the cultural events at the illuminated Mysore Palace premises in the evening. Specially appointed guides will take the Golden Chariot tourists around tourist spots.

The will depart from Mysuru on Sept. 25 early morning and will reach Yeswanthpur Railway Station by 7 am.
