Gopaiah (81), son of late Hanumaiah, a resident of Savakanahalli Palya in the taluk, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in Bengaluru.
He leaves behind four sons including G. Narayanaswamy, Commissioner, Central Excise and Customs, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at his native place Savakanahalli Palya this afternoon.
