Mysuru: Government College of Nursing had organised a function at Platinum Jubilee Hall in J.K. Grounds here recently to mark the 5th anniversary of the College.
Inaugurating the programme, MLA Vasu opined that Nursing was a noble profession portraying humility and compassion.
He commended the Nurses at Government Hospitals for rendering good services amid many odds. He said that all debris and waste materials dumped at the premises of the College should be removed.
K.R. Hospital retired Nurse Saraswathi was felicitated on the occasion. Prizes were given away to the winners of various cultural and sports events. Later the students of the College presented a cultural programme.
MMC&RI Dean and Director Dr. B. Krishnamurthy presided. Chief Administrative Officer B.J. Indiramma, College Principal Firdose Fathima, Cheluvamba Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. S. Radhamani & PKTB Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. H.M. Virupaksha were present.
