Bengaluru: Even as the Union Government declared a seven percent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees, the State Government on Tuesday announced 4.25 percent hike in DA for its employees.
The hike will be in retrospective effect from July 1. About six lakh Government employees will benefit from the hike.
The Government will have to shell out Rs. 660 crore annually to meet the increased hike.
