Mysore/Mysuru: Governments must come forward to safeguard the interest of food industry, said State Hotel Owners Association President Gopalakrishna Shetty (GK Shetty) here recently.
Speaking at an interaction programme organised by Mysuru Hotel Owners Association at a private hotel, Shetty said, it was important for the Government to come to rescue of hotel industry which believes in the concept ‘Athithi Devo Bhava.’
“Apart from the Government, hoteliers must also extend helping hands to each other for which the Associations must get pro-active at district and taluk level. It is also important to unite hotel owners to strengthen the Association. With State Hotel Owners Association working for the welfare of its members, it is necessary that everybody works for the growth of the food industry. There is also need to exert pressure on the Government to amend the rules and regulations for the benefit of the industry,” he added.
Mysuru Hotel Owners Association felicitated GK Shetty on the occasion. Mysuru Hotel Owners Association President C. Narayanagowda, State Vice-Presidents Madhukar M. Shetty and Ravi Shastri, State Association former President M. Rajendra, FKCCI former President Sudhakar S. Shetty and others were present.
