Bengaluru: As the conflict between the State Congress Government and Governor has intensified, the Central Government has augmented security cover of Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot.
Acting on the intelligence inputs, the Z- category security has been provided to the Governor, who will be henceforth be guarded by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, but restricted to the State.
The swift developments surrounding the Governor, especially after his decision to order for the prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in relation to the allegations of irregularities under 50:50 site scheme of Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), has gained significance, beginning with the allocation of bullet proof car to the Governor recently.
