Mysore/Mysuru: The Ministry of Education, Government of India and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) are jointly organising National Yoga Olympiad from June 18 to 20 at Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Manasagangothri in the city.
The programme will be inaugurated by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot at KSOU Convocation Hall here tomorrow at 11 am. Students from Government and Government aided schools from 36 different States and Union Territories of the country will participate.
About 500 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, National Education Society for Tribal Students, Central Board of Secondary Education, Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan and Demonstration Multipurpose School of RIE and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations will attend. Senior officials of Universities and distinguished guests will participate in the Yoga Olympiad.
