Govt. slashes KSFC interest rate by 4 percent

Bengaluru: The State Government on Thursday slashed KSFC (Karnataka State Finance Corporation) annual interest rate by 4 percent on the loans extended by it to entrepreneurs.

Announcing this after a State Cabinet meeting here yesterday, Law Minister J.C. Madhuswamy said that following representations by loanees, the State Government has decided to slash annual interest rate from 10 percent to 6 percent.

The other Cabinet decisions included renovation of Fort at  Madikeri in Kodagu at a cost of Rs.10 crore,  approval for purchase of medical equipment worth Rs. 29.87 crore for Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences and an exclusive Cadre and Recruitment rules for appointments to ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau), among others.
