Grade III ITF Junior Tennis at Pune: Mysuru’s Arnav Pathange enters quarter-finals

Mysuru lad Arnav Pathange, yesterday, entered quarter-finals in the Junior Boys Singles event of Grade III ITF Junior Tennis Tournament being held at Pune, by shocking fifth seeded Germany’s Mathias Musli 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.

In the first round, Arnav Pathange beat Aayush Bhat 6-3, 7-6 (1) to progress further.

In the Junior Boys Doubles event, Chirag Duhan & D. Yadav got the better of Nithilas Eric & Arnav Pathange 7-6(3), 3-6 (13-11) in the quarter-finals. In the pre-quarter-finals, Arnav Pathange & Nithilas Eric beat Aayush Bhat & Dalsuke Inaguwa 7-6(5), 6-1.

Arnav, son of Ashwath Path- ange and Sunaina Pathange and a resident of Bogadi,

is trained under Raghuveer Ponnuswamy of Raghuveer Tennis Academy in Mysuru.
