Graduates reception at JSS Medical College tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: The Graduates Reception of JSS Medical College will be held at its premises in Shivarathreeshwara Nagar in city at 4 pm tomorrow.

As many as 204 students will receive their graduation certificates and eight meritorious students will receive 12 gold medals and 12 cash prizes.

Teaching faculty will be honoured with ‘Best Teacher Award’, two ‘Research Excellence Awards’ (one for highest number of publications and another for highest number of citations) and the prestigious Professor Y.T. Thathachari Endowment Prize for ‘Best Research Publication for the Year 2023-24.’

Padma Shri Dr. Shashank R. Joshi, Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, will be the chief guest and will bestow the awards and medals to the meritorious students.

Gold medals, cash prizes

Dr. Subhradeep Dhar has bagged six gold medals and two cash prizes; Dr. Rohith R. Nair – three gold and four cash prizes; Dr. S.M. Tejashree – two gold and two cash prizes; Dr. Srishti Khaitan – one gold medal; Dr. Jyotsna C. Rameshwara, Dr. Samyak Shah, Dr. K. Nayana and Dr. Shantvi Kumari, all one cash prize each. 

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside. JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER) Pro-Chancellor Dr. B. Suresh and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Surinder Singh will be the guests of honour. JSS AHER Registrar Dr. B. Manjunatha, JSS Medical College Principal Dr. H. Basavana Gowdappa and others will be present on the occasion.
