Mysuru: The Department of Special Education, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), had recently organised ‘Graduation Day’ programme for ‘Preschool Children.’
In the current academic year, 110 children with communication disorders got graduated from preschool at the Preschool Graduation Day Ceremony.
Among them, 91% (100 children) are being main-streamed and the remaining have been recommended for partial integration with special support service.
Out of 110 children, 50 children are with hearing impairment, 33 children are with intellectual disability and the remaining 27 children are with autism and multiple disabilities.
Dr. Na. Ratna, Former Director of AIISH and AYJNIHH, was the chief guest. He congratulated all the children along with their parents and wished them good luck for their future.
Dr. S.R. Savithri, Director, AIISH, Mysuru, who presided over the programme, congratulated the parents for their continuous effort and asked them to continue working hard, as Graduation Day is not the limit for their children’s education, but it is the beginning.
