Mysore/Mysuru: Graduation Day was held at Basudev Somani College on Vishwamanava Double Road in Kuvempunagar here on May 24.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Dr. M. Puttaswamy, President of the Institute of Education Trust, which runs the college, called upon the graduating students to strive for the development of the society.
Highlighting that students play a key role in building the society, he wished the students all success in their future studies and career.
Trust Secretary Kuber P. Gowda, in his address, said that the students should complete Post-Graduation and subsequently take up research and thus contribute for the nation’s growth. He also had a word of advice for the students saying that they should take care of their parents and thus bring honour to their hometown.
College Administrative Officer P. Geethanjali and College Principal Dr. M. Mahadevaswamy too spoke.
Managing Trustee S. Prabha Puttaswamy presented degree certificates to students.
Dr. T. Ramesh welcomed the gathering, while the college faculty S. Manjula compered the programme and student Kushi Narayanadas proposed a vote of thanks.
All the college staff and students were present.
