The Annual Graduation Day of JSS Medical College, Mysuru, will be held on Mar. 18 at 5 pm at Sri Rajendra Auditorium in JSS Medical College premises in city.
Disclosing this at a press conference at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here on Wednesday, Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Principal, JSS Medical College, said that Dr. S. Rajasekaran, Chairman, Department of Orthopaedics & Spine Surgery, Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore and President, SICOT (International Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery), will be the chief guest and give away the awards and medals.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha will preside.
In all, 172 students (84 male and 88 female) will be receiving their certificates at the Graduation Day. Those who bagged gold medals and cash prizes of 2011-2012 batch are: Dr. M. Nishchitha from Mysuru – 1 gold medal, 1 cash prize and Best Outgoing Student award; Dr.Ishita Malik from Haryana – 2 gold medals and six cash prizes; Dr. Ajay Koushik from Mysuru – 2 gold medals and two cash prizes; Dr. Divya Choudhary from Jharkhand- 2 gold medals; Dr. Meghashree from Mysuru – 1 gold medal; Dr. R. Adithi from Mysuru – 3 cash prizes; Dr. Pulkit Gupta from New Delhi – 1 cash prize and Dr. Aparna Padmanabhan from Kerala -1 cash prize.
Dr. M.V.S.S.T. Subbarao, Professor, Department of Biochemistry, JSS Medical College – awarded for Best Research Paper.
Dr. B. Manjunatha, Registrar of JSS University, Dr. P.A. Kushalappa, Director (Academic), Dr. Satish, Dr. M. Guruswamy, Dr. Purushotham Shastry and others were present at the press meet.
