Budding young chefs from across South India sharpened their knives as they honed their culinary skills for Forum Junior Chef Champ competition held for the first time in Mysuru at Forum Centre City on May 13.
More than 100 kids competed in the preliminary round in both the categories — category-1 (7 to 10 years) and category-2 (11 to 15 years) showcasing their talent in cooking.
Among them, 30 kids battled ahead to the grand finale to emblaze their creativity and innovation in culinary giving a run for the top chefs.
The event was attended by Executive chef Anil from Grand Mercure, who gave valuable tips to the kids. Every winner was awarded with an opportunity of working alongside some great chefs in their facility for five days. Every participant gave their best shot and almost all the delicacies were mouth-watering providing a tough challenge for the Judge to choose the best.
The winners were awarded with trophies and goodies, according to Khuteja Afzal, Sr. Executive — Marketing & Communication, Forum Centre City, Nazarbad.
