Grand procession of Sadhus mark Day-2 of Kumbha Mela

T. Narasipur: A grand procession of hundreds of Balasanyasis and Sadhus, including those from North India, on main streets of the temple town last evening marked the second day of Kumbha Mela.

The colourful procession, along with folk troupes, which began from Gunjanarasimhaswamy Temple, passed through Vishwakarma Street, Bhagawan Talkies Road, Bus Stand, Link Road and culminated at Triveni Sangam. It was followed by Mangalavadya and folk performances. Hundreds of women carrying kalashas and groups rendering bhajans, accompanied by traditional musical instruments, Veeragase, Kamsale,  Kombu Kahale, Veerabhadra Kunita, Garudi Kunita, Kolata, Veera Makkala Kunita, Puja Kunita, Keelukudure, Patada Kunitha, Thamate, Seva Dal and Tableaus, added glitter to the procession.

Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji, Sri Shivanandapuri Swamiji, Sri Shivananda Swamiji, Brahma Kumaris, Sri Doreswamiji of the town, Sri Chandrashekhara Swamiji and others were present during the event.
