Depositors’ documents pile up at Asst. Commissioner’s Office

Mysuru:  Even as the deadline for submission of documents in respect of investments in Green Buds Agro Farms ended yesterday, the District Administration is said to have extended the deadline by two more days after considering the huge number of agents and investors who continue to visit the Assistant Commissioner’s (AC) Office in the city, where the documents are to be submitted.

Over a hundred agents and depositors from different parts of the State had lined up at the AC’s Office as early as 6 this morning and more number of investors are expected by this evening to submit documents.

More than 10 counters have been set-up at the Office of the Assistant Commissioner H.N. Shivegowda in the DC Office premises here.

Following a government direction issued last month, the Office of the Assistant Commissioner started receiving documents from investors of Green Buds Agro Farms which is alleged to have cheated investors, setting a Dec.27 deadline. But as depositors from far off places continued to throng the AC Office even as the deadline approached, the   District Administration decided on extending the deadline by two more days.

The AC’s Office is said to have received documents from over 1.25 lakh agents and investors so far and this number is expected to go further up by tomorrow.
