Mysore/Mysuru: Corporator J. Gopi distributed grocery kits to Auto Drivers, Pourakarmikas and other workers engaged in unorganised sectors, living in T.K. Layout and surrounding areas in city.
Over 180 residents living in locked down areas of T.K. Layout and surrounding areas received grocery kits containing rice, wheat flour, rava, sugar, cooking oil, salt and lentils at a programme held near Nagalingeshwara Temple Trust.
Speaking to presspersons, Corporator Gopi said, “Even after relaxation of lockdown, all these workers in unorganised sectors including Auto Drivers and Pourakarmikas are facing difficulties. For this reason, we decided to help them and distribute grocery kits.”
Mysuru City Congress President R. Murthy, former Corporator M. Shivanna, Honorary President of Nagalingeshwara Temple Trust Krishnappa, leaders Dairy Javarappa, K. Manju, Pachappa, Paramesh, Mahesh, Raju, Raghu, Krishna and others were present.
