We had booked seats on the upper deck of the Ambaari bus to view the Mysuru city illumination as part of Dasara. We were asked to report at the MayuraHoysala Hotel half an hour before departure. After getting into the seats we had reserved a month in advance, we were instructed not to stand on the upper deck.
However, the bus, scheduled to leave at 6.30 pm, didn’t depart on time. To make matters worse, people continued to climb onto the upper deck, standing in front of seated passengers and blocking the view, completely defeating the purpose of the bus tour.
Those who had climbed up also began misbehaving and arguing with elderly passengers, with no staff present to manage the situation. This led to total chaos, reflecting poor management by KSTDC and their staff at MayuraHoysala.
I urge the authorities to address this issue and ensure that such inconveniences do not affect tourists in the future.
