Mysuru: “Please excuse me for having come here after a long gap of ten years when I campaigned and was elected in the by-election. I am grateful for your love and trust,” said the emotional Chief Minister Siddharamaiah at Hosakote village in Chamundeshwari constituency yesterday where he launched several development activities.
Continuing, Siddharamaiah recalled that even when he lost in an election he had won good number of votes in Yelwal hobli for which he was indebted and assured to give in return with good development works. He warned of stern action against any erring officer in the ongoing de-silting work of lakes.
Going further, Siddharamaiah said: “Next time also I will become the Chief Minister. MLAs G.T. Devegowda (GTD) and S.R. Mahesh are my good friends and reading their minds, I feel they too want me as the next CM.’
Speaking on the occasion, GTD, referring to Siddharamaiah, said: “You became Dy. CM after winning from Chamundeshwari Constituency and winning from Varuna, you scaled to CM position. Now future is left to God.”
