Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Guru Purnima Lecture Series and Monthly Moonlight Music, A.R. Raghuram will deliver a lecture while Vidushi Harini Ramesh will present a vocal concert at Suttur Mutt premises at the foot of Chamundi Hill in city at 6 pm tomorrow (July 21).
Vidushi Harini will be accompanied by Vidwan Keshava Mohan Kumar on violin, Vidwan A. Radhesh on mridanga and Vidwan S. Manjunath on ghata. Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.
A.R. Raghuram, a senior journalist, has presented many programmes in Akashavani for the past two decades and has written numerous articles in newspapers. He also served as a Guest faculty at Vyasatheertha Vidyapeetha of Sosale Mutt.
Vidushi Harini Ramesh, daughter of H.K. Ramesh and Latha couple, showed interest in music since her childhood days and was trained under Vidushi Sukanya Prabhakar and later under Chennai-based artistse Vidushis Ranjini and Gayathri. She passed Sangeetha Vidwath exams of Karnataka with distinction and has presented many vocal concerts at Chennai’s Tyagabrahma Ganasabha, Bengaluru’s Gayana Samaja, Mysuru’s Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, Sri Ganapathy Ashram, Bidaram Mandira and JSS Sangeetha Sabha. She is an A grade artiste of Akashavani.
Vidwan Keshava Mohan Kumar, a B-High grade artiste in Akashavani and Doordarshan, has been part of many prestigious musical concerts.
Vidwan Radhesh of Mysuru is an A grade artiste of Akashavani and has won many awards.
Vidwan S. Manjunath is getting trained in ghata under Vidwan T.V. Bhadrachar and mridangam under Vidwan Tumkur B. Ravishankar. Currently serving as a teacher at JSS High School, he has been part of Instrumental Ensemble in the making of many Music CDs.
