Bengaluru: Dismissing reports on JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda’s intervention in the allotment of portfolios in the yet to be formed State Cabinet, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy said that all these reports were baseless.
Maintaining that although it is true that D.K. Shivakumar of the Congress and H.D. Revanna of the JD(S) had vied with each other for Energy portfolio as both of them held the portfolio earlier, Kumaraswamy also rubbished reports on the tiff between D.K. Shivakumar and H.D. Revanna in getting Energy portfolio.
Admitting that he (HDK) had demanded Finance portfolio as the Chief Minister holding the portfolio has been a practice for long, the CM claimed that the sharing of portfolios between the two coalition partners Congress and JD(S) has been done on ‘give and take’ basis.
