Mysuru: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, VVCE, has organised HACK-KSHETRA, a 24-hour hackathon on Oct. 25 and 26. Naveen Muddu Krishna, Director of Engineering, Western Digital Corporation, will be the chief guest and inaugurate the event on Oct. 25 at Sri. H. Kempegowda Indoor Sports Complex in VVCE Campus at 11 am.
Gundappa Gowda, President, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Mysuru, will preside. P. Vishwanath, Secretary, Shrishaila Ramannavar, Treasurer, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal and Dr. Shobha Shankar, Vice-Principal, will be the guests of honour.
Dr. M.R. Pooja, Professor & Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dr. Paramesha, Dr. Janhavi and Dr. Nithin Kumar, Hackathon Coordinators and faculty members of CSE Department, will be present. More than 260 teams from various Engineering Colleges in the State have registered for the hackathon and a total of 60 teams were shortlisted to participate in the event.
The teams will be working on innovative solutions for various problems provided by the industries in the domains of AI & ML, IOT and Cybersecurity and will be judged by a panel of jury members from industries and the winning teams will be awarded with cash prizes.
