Mysuru: District Administration has given permission to organise Hanuma Jayanti in Hunsur town on Jan. 27. The organisers have been asked to take the procession on a changed route.
The Hanuma Jayanti Celebrations and procession planned earlier on Dec. 3, 2017 had been cancelled in view of law and order situation.
Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep is learnt to have given the permission now for Celebrating Hanuma Jayanti based on the opinion and report submitted by District Police Superintendent and Assistant Commissioner and at the directive of the Home Department.
Randeep had chaired a meeting in Hunsur on Jan. 4 based on an appeal by Hanuma Jayanti Celebration Committee which was attended by leaders of all communities. The meeting decided to re-route the procession. The DC is said to have given clear instructions to the committee to include the members of National Festivals Celebration Committee to take out the procession.
New Route: The Hanuma Jayanti procession will commence from Ranganatha Extension in Hunsur and pass through Kalkunike Circle, in front of Hotel Shabari Prasad, Hotel Devi Prasad, Old bridge, Rotary Circle, Old and New bus stand and culminate at Manjunathaswamy Temple.
