Dharambir smashes Asian record to claim gold in men’s club throw
Paris: India clinched four medals — two Gold and two Silver — at the Paris Paralympics yesterday taking the country’s medals tally to 24.
Harvinder Singh scripted history by becoming the first-ever Indian archer to win a Paralympic gold medal. He achieved the glory in the men’s individual recurve open event.
After this, Dharambir too won the top honour in the men’s club throw F51 final, an event that also saw India’s Pranav Soorma clinching a silver.
Dharambir smashed the Asian record to claim the gold.
Earlier in the day, world champion Sachin Sarjerao Khilari had clinched a silver in men’s shot-put F46 event.
India now stands at 13th position with 24 medals.
