Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court (HC) on Friday issued a notice to Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna (son of former Minister H.D. Revanna) to personally explain on the charges that he had made false claims on Income Tax Returns, to the Election Commission (EC).
The High Court was hearing a petition filed by the defeated BJP candidate A. Manju, who sought disqualification of Prajwal Revanna as Hassan MP for filing false Income Tax Returns to the EC.
Justice John Michael D’Cunha, who heard Manju’s petition, ordered Prajwal Revanna to appear in person or make a submission through his advocate on Aug. 18.
The Court also issued notices to the other respondents in the case — K.H. Vinod Raj, H.M. Chandregowda, M. Lokesh and R.G. Satish.
