Health camp and talk held at Govt. First Grade College

Mysuru: The Government First Grade College, Siddartha Layout, conducted a health check-up camp for the students under the auspices of Red Cross, ‘Dhanvantri’ Health Club and Department of Physical Education along with Department of PG Studies in Swasthavritta, JSS Ayurvedic Medical College.

Dr. P. Sudhakar Reddy, HoD, PG Studies in Swasthavritta, JSS Ayurvedic Medical College, who was the chief guest at the inaugural programme, spoke about the significance of Ayurveda.

Dr. M. Channabasavegowda, Principal of the College, presided. P. Prathibha, Assistant Professor of Sociology-cum-Dhanvantri Health Club Co-ordinator welcomed. H.E. Diwakar, Professor of History-cum-Co-ordinator of Red Cross, proposed a vote of thanks. L. Lohith, Physical Education Director, compered. Dr. B.V. Rekha, Dr. M.N. Sowmya and PG students of JSS Ayurvedic Medical College, staff and students of Government First Grade College were present on the occasion. Also, a special lecture on adolescent health issues was conducted exclusively for female students of the College, according to a press release.
