Hejje-Gejje National Dance Festival

Mysore/Mysuru: Hejje-Gejje National Dance Festival organised by Sri Nimishamba Dance Promoters as part of its 29th anniversary will be held on Dec. 21 at Kalamandira, said Sri Nimishamba Dance Promoters Founder Vid. Sridhar Jain.

Addressing press persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan yesterday, he said cine actors Dr. Girija Lokesh, Srujan Lokesh, Pooja Lokesh and Greeshma Srujan Lokesh would be the chief guests. “This year about 200 artistes within the age group of 5 to 57 years would be performing during the Dance Festival which will comprise of Shiva-Parvathi Dance Competition, Shiva-Parvathi affection and Poorna Nrithya Thandava as main attractions. The programme will be held for two hours continuously without a break. The Dance School has also been providing free Bharatanatyam classes for children of labourers,” he added.
