- CM & Dy.CM take aircraft together from Bengaluru to Mysuru just to welcome Rahul Gandhi!
- Rahul Gandhi lands in Mysore Airport by aircraft and takes off to Gudalur in Tamil Nadu by helicopter
Mysore/Mysuru: Even as the leadership issue in the ruling State Congress continues to be a topic of hot debate in political circles, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar arrived in city this afternoon at 2.10 from Bengaluru by a special aircraft to meet Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi at Mysore Airport.
Rahul Gandhi arrived at Mysore Airport at 2.15 pm on his way to attend the Golden Jubilee celebration of a school at Gudalur in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu.
Both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar, who is also the KPCC President, did not want to miss this opportunity of meeting Rahul Gandhi, especially in the backdrop of the issue of leadership change and proposal for Cabinet reshuffle, which are being talked about over the past few months.
Rahul Gandhi, who landed at Mysore Airport, where tight security was in place, did not come to the lounge to relax but instead took a helicopter for Gudalur immediately after the CM and Deputy CM welcomed him with bouquets.
Though the CM and the Dy.CM were to hold talks with Rahul, they only had a photo session with their top leader.
