Various organisations, individuals come forward to help
Mysore/Mysuru: The State-wide lockdown by the Government following increase in COVID positive cases, has displaced many families, which had come to city in search of work and also to daily wagers, who depend on labour works to earn meals for their families.
Various organisations and individuals have come forward to help the needy and the poor by providing them food packets, ration kits and medicines to senior citizens, who are unable to go out during lockdown.
Many organisations are also helping Police and medical staff by providing PPE kits and other medical equipment.
Jago Mysuru, headed by M. Chethan has been delivering free home delivery of medicines, groceries, fruits and vegetables and other essential items to the doorstep of the needy.

Sri Jana Jagarana Trust, working under the umbrella of RSS is also conducting various relief activities such as blood and plasma donation, tele-medicine services, ambulance, cremation of the departed, free food catering to those in home isolation and also distribution of groceries and other essential items to the needy. While most organisations are taking care of the needs of those in home isolation, roadside vendors, labourers and the poor, Suvarna Karnataka Chemists and Distributors Association has provided face shields and washable hand gloves to journalists yesterday.
