Helping Hands provides to-and-fro train tickets to New Delhi for 19 Kabaddi players

They will be representing Karnataka at National Championship to be held at Panipat, Haryana

Helping Hands, a Jain youth organisation, distributed to-and-fro train tickets to New Delhi from Mysuru to 19 needy and talented students, who are selected for representing Karnataka at the National Kabaddi Championship to be held at Panipat, Haryana, from June 9 to 12, at Kabutar Daan venue near Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple here yesterday.

The 19 students are part of a contingent of 34 representing Karnataka at the National Kabaddi Championship under two categories — Under-12 and Under-17 years.

The 19 students hail from Kyathamaranahalli, Gandhinagar, Gayatripuram, Udayagiri, Shantinagar and nearby areas. Among them are the U-12 Captain Manchamma and U-17 Captain Sultana.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Sultana said that they were practicing Kabaddi for the last four years. She added that just last week she had returned from Maharashtra after participating in the National Gymnastics Championship where Karnataka won the Team Championship, exuding confidence in bagging the title in Kabaddi also.

Helping Hands President Mahaveer Chand Khabiya, Vice-President Anandraj Patwa, Treasurer Rajan Baghmar, Members Manoharlal Sankla, Sunil Patwa, Pavan Sancheti, Jambu Lodha, Dinesh Bohra, Team Manager Ravi and Coach Eliyas Pasha were present.
